My name is Daniel and I am 19. Ever since I was 11 I had a passion for backend developing, as I was
considered quite young, I was not able to join any course so I ended up learning Java through YouTube videos.
However, it was not until I was 13 when I started really improving as I was given the chance to join a
"developer trainee" course. This programme was offered by an online community (Knockturn Networks) and you got the chance to
be taught by professional developers and after you proved yourself, to work side by side with them.
From that moment on, my enthusiasm for software development has grown and grown and as a result my
coding, team-working and logical reasoning abilities have prominently improved.
In my free time I enjoy coding (especially Spigot plugins), cooking, reading, swimming, playing video games,
doing taekwondo and hanging out with friends.

International Baccalaureate Studies• September 2020 - May 2022
To be able to fully develop my potential, I decided that the best study programme and the one that would suit me most would be IB. “International Baccalaureate offers an education comprising of four programmes that focus on teaching students to think critically and independently, and how to inquire with care and logic. The IB prepares students to succeed in a world where facts and fiction merge in the news, and where asking the right questions is a crucial skill that will allow them to flourish long after they have left the IB programme.„ -International Baccalaureate©
Data Science & Artificial Intelligence Engineering BSc• September 2022
Having finished the International Baccalaureate, the best course of action was to study abroad. Hence, which better choice than the prestigious University of Leiden, ranking on the top of Europe. During this bachelor, we will be formed as computer scientists and engineers with further in-depths in the fields of data science and analysis and artificial intelligence algorithms.
During this period, I developed custom-made software for online gaming businesses, catering to their specific requirements. I also created public plugins and add-ons, making them accessible on various publishing platforms. In addition to my individual work, I collaborated with other freelance developers on larger-scale projects. I was responsible for designing user-friendly interfaces for control panels associated with the software solutions I developed, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Leiden University• September 2023 - December 2023
In this role, I took on various responsibilities related to education and academic support. This included auditing tests and grading papers to ensure accuracy and fairness in assessment. I also audited study materials, providing valuable feedback to the lecturer for improvements. During lectures, I actively engaged with students by answering their questions and offering constructive feedback to the lecturer to enhance the learning experience. I played a pivotal role in organizing tutorials and workgroups, aiming to optimize students' results by providing additional support and guidance. Moreover, I assessed students' learning styles and tailored my instruction to maximize their understanding and academic success.
While the great majority of the following skills have been self-taught or learnt through online courses, there's also a great amount that I have learnt in the "dev trainee" course and during the following years in that community as well as in Leiden University, especially other tools like Maven, Git, JSON, etc.
